When the going gets tough....

They say adversity brings out the best in people. Not always true. Some buckle. Some crash. Some change their mental mindset. A few take it in their stride, and with renewed determination, they shine brighter than the rest.

The gem cannot be polished without friction. There are limits. Too much friction, and you'll destroy the gem. Irrerparably.

It takes pressure to make a diamond. If you dont remove the pressure, however, you'll never see the diamond. And whats the point in that?

But we arent alone, these days our whole world is waiting for Atlas to return. Till then, we stand on our own.

So to make sense of what you wrote, in English does it mean - Know the Limits?

Oooh! Stress beyond repair is a scary thought.
That is why I abstained from commenting on this post earlier.
But then I looked at the other side of the coin... extreme leisure. The freedom to do nothing for as long as ever. It was even scarier.
So if given a choice between the two, I'd rather choose the opportunity to test my limits than never know what I could have done.

For example, when I was working 12-14 hrs a day, 6 days a week.. sometimes even 7 days a week.. my parents thought I was racking myself. But I took it as a challenge to extend my limits of physical and mental exhaustion and I know it has helped me in the long run.

Don't complain if you have worked really hard to get where you really belong... do everything that takes it to remain there.
That's the only glory in being alive.

Pushing your limits!

Too much pressure kills. Balancing work and leisure under intense pressure conditions is hard, but possible. I have tried both extremes,
working under high pressure sans leisure and wallowing in leisure for extended periods without thinking of
work. For a change I would like to try my ha at balancing the two.
I wonder though, whether like the East and the West, can the twain ever meet
